Ana Guevara

Ana M. Guevara serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), where she helps advance Department-wide priorities in strategic planning, organizational performance, technology modernization, budget and resource management, and operational effectiveness. She previously led the development of the Department’s FY 2026–2030 Strategic Plan and served as Deputy Undersecretary for International Labor Affairs, leading efforts to strengthen fair competition for American workers and businesses by combating foreign labor abuses and unfair trade practices in global supply chains.

Ms. Guevara brings extensive executive leadership experience across government, business, international organizations, and the nonprofit sector, working at the intersection of strategy, policy, and operations. Her experience includes organizational transformation, public-private partnerships, international business and trade, transportation, supply chains, and economic development.

Ms. Guevara was appointed by the President and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate to represent the United States on the Boards of Directors of the World Bank Group. She also held two senior leadership positions at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, including serving as chief operating officer of the U.S. Commercial Service, overseeing a $50 million budget and more than 100 U.S. offices. Earlier, she led the U.S. National Tourism Office and served as an ex-officio board member of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. 

Her private-sector and nonprofit leadership experience includes more than a decade with UPS, where she rose to Vice President of Public Affairs, and service as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global Markets at WEConnect International and Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Latin America at Walmart. 

Ms. Guevara earned a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs
