Dana M. Deason

Dana Deason serves as Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor for the Wage and Hour Division.

Dana joined WHD in May 2025, bringing extensive management experience from her previous roles as President of the Board of Directors for a federal contractor compliance nonprofit and various senior positions in the private sector where she oversaw labor and employment matters. Throughout her career, she has focused on guiding businesses through the complexities of labor and employment law compliance, including developing tailored compliance strategies, conducting workplace investigations, advising executive leadership, and training all organizational levels on regulatory requirements and company policy.

Dana is certified with SHRM-CP and PHR credentials and received her B.A. from Westminster College.
