David B. Castillo

Chief Financial Officer

David Castillo was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 7, 2025, to serve as Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Labor.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Castillo spent 18 years as a financial advisor and planner with Edward Jones Investments. Before entering the financial services sector, he worked on several state and federal political campaigns, including President George W. Bush’s 2004 reelection campaign. He later served in several roles in the Bush Administration, including as a Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and as a Director at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Mr. Castillo is a veteran of the United States Navy. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a master’s degree from Gonzaga University.
