Roberto Coquis

Roberto Coquis serves as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management at the U.S. Department of Labor.

Roberto brings nearly 20 years of experience across the federal government, political arena, and sports industry, with a strong focus on managing operations, programs, teams, and complex budgets. His federal service includes leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary, as well as positions with the U.S. Department of State, General Services Administration, the Peace Corps, USAID, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense's Coalition Provisional Authority of Iraq in Baghdad.

Early in his career Roberto worked on several presidential campaigns. He earned his bachelor’s degree from American University and his master’s degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University.

In addition to his public service, Roberto served as President of the Northern Virginia Bonsai Society and serves as a member of the Virginia Latino Advisory Board.
