Steven Hough
Principal Deputy Solicitor of Labor
Steven Hough serves as the Principal Deputy to the Solicitor. Before joining the Department of Labor, Steven served in several roles at the Department of Justice, including Trial Attorney in the Civil Division, Senior Counsel Detailee to the House Judiciary Committee, and most recently, Supervisory Official and Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legislative Affairs.
Steven earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He clerked for United States Circuit Judge Jerome A. Holmes on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and United States District Judge James Knoll Gardner on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
