Westley Everette
Associate Deputy Chief Financial Officer
Westley Everette, CGFM, serves as Associate Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Fiscal Integrity at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). In this role, he provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Department’s financial management operations, including accounting, audit, and U.S. Department of the Treasury-mandated initiatives. Appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2021, Mr. Everette represents the Department’s Chief Financial Officer in engagements with senior officials from the Office of Management and Budget and the U.S. Government Accountability Office on key financial and operational priorities.
Prior to joining the Senior Executive Service, Mr. Everette held several leadership positions at DOL, including Director of Central Accounting Operations, Director of Business Process Improvement, and Interim Director of Financial Reporting. In these roles, he advanced high-priority Treasury initiatives, supported the Department in maintaining an unmodified audit opinion, strengthened financial operations, and helped modernize accounting processes. He also played a key role in short- and long-term planning for the Department’s core financial systems.
Mr. Everette began his federal career as an accountant with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He has more than 17 years of federal civilian service.
Mr. Everette earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Norfolk State University and is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
