Most documents related to an existing black lung claim can be submitted electronically via the Claimant Online Access Link (C.O.A.L.) Mine Portal. Beginning March 2024, new claims may also be submitted via the C.O.A.L. Mine Portal. In addition, claimants and beneficiaries can request claim information, make many types of changes, and/or report an issue using the Online Contact Form available in the Portal.
