What do I do if my employer didn’t forward my 401(k) contributions? How will having a baby affect my health insurance? My employer is out of business – how do I get my retirement benefits? My insurance provider is making me jump through hoops to get depression treatment – is that legal? How long does my former employer have to send me a COBRA election notice?
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration is launching a new webpage to help workers, retirees, and their families quickly find answers to these and similar questions. AskEBSA.dol.gov uses simple tiles to guide people to common topics, self-service tools, and short videos.
The new page helps people with common benefits questions, about:
Potential Retirement Benefit Notice from the Social Security Administration
COBRA
Retirement Plan and Health Plan Assistance
Retirement Savings Lost and Found Database
Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program Coordinator Lookup Tool
Public Disclosure
Visitors can find information on these and other topics, share questions about their benefits plans, and request to connect with an EBSA benefits advisor for assistance.
Our agency oversees about 2.8 million health plans, 837,000 private pension plans, and 521,000 other welfare benefit plans. Altogether, these plans cover 155 million workers, retirees, and dependents, with an estimated $14.6 trillion in assets. In FY 2025, we recovered $1.4 billion for plan participants and their families and engaged with over 1.8 million people through our website.
This new landing page reflects our commitment to making benefits information even easier to find and use.
